Did you miss out on the Fall Coding Club or maybe you participated and want more? No worries! Scratch (and more) is back and we are accepting new and returning students to join us for an after-school coding club.
Get a great introduction to computer programming with Scratch! Using Scratch 3.0, students will learn the basics of game design and character animation in a well-structured and easy-to-learn coding environment. They will make 2D arcade games with multiple animated characters that can be played with friends and family. Moreover, they will learn to make art with code using the new code blocks in Scratch. This course doesn’t require prior coding experience and welcomes campers from all levels.
If you are a returning student, you will pick up where you left off and advance your skills further. You’ll move on to the next level-real world coding with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
Explore how popular arcade games became famous, how they are programmed and how to recreate them with Scratch.
Learn about the essentials of game design and character animation using Scratch. With inspiration from classic games, make your own updated versions.
Create a variety of 2D arcade games with animated characters, including coin collectors, maze hunters and side scrollers.
